**Purpose of the role**

**We are looking for someone with account management and digital marketing skills to help look after our businesses in Hereford city centre. Working with our Marketing Manager, the role will often involve face to face interaction with businesses by informing them of our projects, suggesting and gathering content, and often, present to camera on offers and points of interest to the public that will entice them to visit.**

We welcome applicants with all levels of experience, but applicants must be a self-starter, able to converse with people, plan their day and be willing to present to camera on a regular basis. Digital skills are highly desirable as you will often be posting content - so good English and an eye for design/ detail will be advantageous.

**Further Detail**

Based in the City Centre, you will work on the creation, scheduling and implementation of exciting, rich and relevant social media and website content across our two brands. You will also regularly seek content by visiting our member businesses, many of whom are retailers, hospitality venues and offices so it is essential applicants are confident self-starters. You may also occasionally assist with our live events and installation of staging and gazebos.

Skills, knowledge, and experience

Essential
- Business engagement/ account management skills
- To have a keen interest in social media, to be familiar with and regularly using multiple platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn in particular
- To have strong copywriting skills
- To have strong communication skills
- To be very organised and able to work to deadlines
- Confident self-starter, willing to liaise with businesses to gather content
- Highly reliable and professional in approach
- Educated to at least A-level or equivalent grades
- Able to use Microsoft products such as Outlook and Excel to a reasonable level
- Able to work very occasional weekends and evenings
- GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics at grade C or above

Desirable
- To have studied Business and a Marketing course at college
- To have undertaken previous work experience that involved marketing
- Experience of Mailchimp/ social media marketing
