What We Are Looking For:
A dynamic and experienced HRBP, with start-up experience to lead the People function. As HRBP, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the people agenda and strategy. You will lead, develop and implement people strategies in line with Engineius’ objectives, executive initiatives through to successful delivery focussing on employee experience and support the development of the People Advisor and L&D Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment to enable the success of Engineius.
This role is suitable for experienced HR professionals, who are ready to take the next step in their career by leading a People function for an exciting tech-enabled services company.
What You’ll Be Doing:
People Strategy and Planning:
- Evolve and execute the people strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Review and revise, creating new where needed, HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee experience - engagement, retention and performance.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Review the current talent acquisition strategy, evolve current practices to attract top talent.
- Together with the People Advisor, regularly review staffing needs and support with recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing and selection.
Performance Management and Development:
- Assess the current performance management process, ensuring it is fit for purpose in driving employee growth and development.
- Support the SLT and managers on performance-related matters.
- Foster a culture of continuous feedback and coaching to enhance individual and team performance.
Remuneration and Reward:
- Oversee the design and implementation of a competitive remuneration and reward scheme.
- Conduct market research to ensure benefits package remain competitive and attracts top talent.
Learning & Development:
- Implement a company leadership and management development programme.
- Work with the L&D Advisor to design and implement programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Using data and collaborating with managers to identify training needs and initiatives.
People Operations:
- Together with the People Advisor, oversee people operations including payroll, HRIS and data management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automated systems and tools.
Projects and initiatives
- Analyse people data, reviewing trends/insights for the SLT and recommended actions/initiatives.
- Together with the People team, lead and support with ongoing activities and projects as per the People strategy.
What Characteristics Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Proven experience in a HR leadership role or capacity
- Proven in-depth knowledge of best practices, employment law and regulations in the UK
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment/start-up
- Proven ability in agililty and adaptable in response to changing priorities
