**What you’ll be doing**
- Line manage part of the Communities Team, ensuring delivery of job descriptions, action plans and all services relating to those areas
- Build social capital in South Norfolk and Broadland by increasing the number of volunteers giving time to the area and supporting volunteers’ development to create a sustainable volunteer resource.
- Represent the Council at events and meetings with the purpose to promote social action, community capacity building and the promotion of health and wellbeing.
- Manage the delivery of projects which tailor services and products in hard to reach and vulnerable audiences, particularly focused on highlighted cohorts and communities who will benefit the most.
- Attract income from products and services, or inward investment working towards cost neutral activity.
- Prepare bids, coordinate and support levering funding through corporate social responsibly, external funding sources or working with partner agencies to enhance the Councils own delivery, upskill/develop existing external provision and community capacity.

**You must have **
- Qualified to at least level 3 or proven experience in community working.
- Experience of developing partnerships in the public, voluntary or commercial sectors.
- Ability to make professional judgements and decisions that improves resident’s wellbeing and/ or is politically aware.
- Experience of managing staff and/or experience of influencing others.
- Experience of negotiation and consultation skills
- Ability to use problem solving techniques and evidence based research to find solutions
- Experience in working with a variety of communities and delivering self
- sustaining outcomes at a local level.
- Ability to share information and actively contribute to the team’s ability to learn, grow and develop.
- Good analytical skills to that can define issues, evaluate potential solutions and evaluate outcomes
- Problem solving skills linked to the ability to advise partners, colleagues, elected members and the public on realistic options.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and to working outside normal office hours when required.
- Full driving licence
