Head of Estates Regional role (Northern territory)
**Your new company**
A Regional Head of Estates role with a Durham HQ that will cover the North of England on behalf of a National Defence Organisation. You will report directly to CEO and take instruction from wider organisation in respect of National project delivery, and verymuch take lead within Northern Region on all matters in relations to Property, Estates, Health and safety Capital works for approximately 428 buildings within 128 sites across Cleveland, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham
**Your new role**
You will provide technical direction, advice and assistance on the implementation of all building, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering and facilities management (FM) matters. A key member of the Association's Senior Leadership Team, as Head of Estatesyou will provide day to day leadership (team of 8), management and direction to the Estates Team, including personal and professional development, overseeing standards of delivery and the highest level of customer support.
Including planned maintenance, hard and soft service delivery, Project management, overseeing procurement and contract negotiations and tenders. Manage all financial information and budgets ensuring projects are completed within budget in a timely manner.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience of stakeholder management, with strong consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to build trust and forge strong working relationships between multiple stakeholders from multiple organisations.
- Professional Member of an appropriate professional body or institution (e.g. CIBSE, CIOB, ICE, RICS or equivalent) or be degree qualified and demonstrably working towards such a qualification.
- Experience in Project Management to a value of at least £4.5M.
- Have managed routine maintenance, Statutory & Mandatory compliance requirements and have an overview of property/estate management including FM & grounds maintenance.
- Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation as applied to construction and building maintenance activities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentational skills. Strong IT skills, particularly MS Word and Excel, and practical experience of managing and operating commercial Building Specification/Project Management software.
- Able to use remote conferencing facilities such as MS Teams and Skype confidently. Full clean driving license.
