MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To ensure common practice and effective implementation of the administration of the Foundation Programme curriculum for all F1 and F2 doctors in training on all trust sites. To co-ordinate and administer the Foundation Programme clinical and professional teaching timetables and activity in accordance with the agreed curriculum as directed by the Foundation Programme Tutors and in conjunction with, the Northern Foundation School. To work with the wider team, Nurse Teaching Fellows and Clinical Teaching Fellows to ensure delivery of agreed teaching and support priorities for FP trainees with regard to induction and essential training, linked to set curricular. Ensure that key information is communicated across all departments and that all stakeholders, including clinical areas, are aware that doctors are in training at set times, as well as booking rooms and facilities to support excellence in medical education.

Support trainees and trainers in the use of the relevant FP electronic training portfolios within the Trust, giving advice and support to its users, uploading data where required. To support the annual Shadowing and Induction Programme and Annual Review of Competency Progression (ARCP) assessment panels as directed by senior members of the Medical Education Team. To be responsible for the collection and collation of appropriate data as and when required e.g. trainee numbers, teaching hours, teaching attendance, satisfaction, delivery and activity over the academic year.

To review processes in the department, to strive to improve its smooth operation and the services it provides to the Trust, and to be the first point of contact for all medical education queries in the Education Centres. Provide high quality marketing and social media support for all medical education training across the Trust, by updating websites, Twitter, Facebook, Intranet, flyers and course material, to ensure high quality experience for all students and trainees attending CDDFT for medical education events. To service committee meetings by typing agendas, distributing supporting information, producing timely minutes and following up action points to ensure completion. To assess the quality of programmes using evaluation and feedback forms and liaising with clinical teachers to support change as appropriate.

To support all Medical Students, Doctors in Training and Trainers with queries around Medical Education e.g. Study leave etc. To ensure Trust policies are adhered too and implemented. Propose changes to policies for with regard to Medical Education that have Trust Wide impact.

To take specific responsibility for particular areas of work including project work. To work closely with the Medical Education team working flexibly to provide cover for colleagues and the main team offices/sites and support the smooth running of the Education Centres across the Trust in conjunction with the Training and Development team.
