As a Finishing Apprentice, you will undergo comprehensive training to become proficient in the final stages of the printing process. You will work closely with experienced professionals within the Finishing department gaining and expanding your knowledge in the operation of finishing machinery, additionally you will be learning to inspect and package finished products, while maintaining a keen eye for detail.

Accountabilities
- Shadow and learn from experience operators
- Attend training and participate in the completion of course work from apprenticeship training provider
- Operate and monitor platen/cad machinery, ensuring efficient and accurate production of printed materials.
- Learn to set up and calibrate platen/cad machines according to job specifications and client requirements.
- Collaborate with experienced operators and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the finishing process.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials onto platen press, ensuring proper alignment and registration.
- Gain knowledge of different printing/finishing techniques and materials to enhance versatility in platen press operations.
- Participate in the packaging and labelling of completed print materials, ensuring they meet client specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in coordination of workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Maths GSCE (Grade 4)
- English GSCE (Grade 4)
- Technical Aptitude
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £16,000.00 per year
