**What you'll be doing**:
As an apprentice Hospitality Team Member you will be based within the team at Moorlands Eye Hospital, tasks could include, but not limited to:
Set up each area of the restaurant ready for customers with the required products

Ensure all food is stored, handled and presented at the correct temperature and in accordance with the Steamplicity and general HACCP guidelines

Prepare and serve all food and beverages in line with the service level agreement

Understand all items available, know where they are kept and offer and upsell it to customers accordingly based on their specific dietary requirements

Ensure every item is stocked up correctly in line with the planograms and are all forward facing

Complete all cleaning tasks as identified within the site -specific cleaning rota

Report customer complaints to the supervisor/management team to be dealt with promptly

Use machinery as shown and taught, ensuring that the equipment is used safely and in accordance with the current risk assessments, regulations and company policies

Ensure the correct menu is followed correctly for each day and these are displayed correctly for customers

Ensure allergens are available for each product and you know where to guide the customers to, to view them

**Ensure correct uniform is worn**: bare below elbow, no false nails, no nail polish, non-slip shoes, no jewellery and hat and hairnet

**More about the role**:
Alongside your day to day duties, you will complete the Hospitality Team Member Level 2 Apprenticeship. This is a nationally recognised qualification and the primary objective of the Hospitality Team Member is to learn and understand how to carry out fantastic ‘hospitality’ skills and knowledge such as recognising customer needs, knowing how to match them to the products and services of the business to ensure they feel welcomed and looked after. You will either attend college 1 day each week or will do your learning on site. You will be supported through this qualification by your Personal Development Coach who will visit you at your place work every 6-10 weeks. You are not expected to complete any of your Apprenticeship work outside of your normal working hours and will be given set time each week to complete your work.

**SALARY**: £11.95 per hour

**LOCATION**: Moorfields Eye Hospital, 162, City Road, London. EC1V 2PD

**REPORTING TO**: General Manager

**HOURS/WORKING PATTERN**: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Earliest start time 07:00 and latest finish time 22:00

**DURATION**: 12-15 months

You do not need to have any experience as full training will be provided as part of the Apprenticeship. This is ideal for a school leaver or someone wanting a career change. Apprenticeships are for everyone regardless of age

Over a 12-15 month period you will be trained to become a fully Qualified Hospitality Team Member.

**Who you are**:
A good communicator, able to liaise confidently with customers

High standards of personal hygiene

Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements

Highly competent in the English language, both written and verbal

Basic food hygiene

Self-motivated

Can accurately follow instructions

To complete any training the company supplies either class room or online training

Having a ‘can do’ attitude

Can work under pressure

Experience within a similar role

Basic food hygiene/level 2
