**1 x Fixed Term contract/secondment opportunity for up to 12 months**
- Internal applicants who wish to be considered for a secondment opportunity should discuss with their line manager the suitability of a possible secondment*

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative thinking and enthusiastic individual to join our award-winning team.

Are you passionate about ensuring students and young people are offered meaningful and impactful opportunities for work experience?

Would you like to be part of the team that support the future pipeline of the NHS workforce?

Would you like to inspire and motivate students to step into the world of the NHS through T-Level and work experience placements?

Are you able to think outside of the box and promote the positive benefits of work experience and T-Level student placements to the NHS workforce?

The purpose of this role is to develop and manage the work experience programme and T-Level student placements alongside engaging local students to promote the apprenticeship programme and Gloucestershire Health and Care Trust as an employer of choice for our local community.

We are committed to supporting a fair and equitable process for all individuals to gain meaningful experiences of the workplace and insights into the world of work, especially supporting those who may face additional barriers to accessing work experience or employment.

The post holder will work as part of the Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Team based at the Training Hub in Brockworth, Gloucester.

Along with the Practice Education and Professional Development & Clinical Skills teams the Apprenticeship and Widening Participation team provide a range of in-house and accredited learning opportunities for Trust staff, with a particular emphasis on developing new apprenticeship roles and supporting people who are starting out in their career with the NHS.

The Team also works collaboratively with One Gloucestershire (ICS) organisations.

The focus of the post will be to develop and enhance the existing work experience and T-Level offer, to scope and create more placement opportunities and for Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Trust to increase the number of students on work experience and T-Level placements. This will require the post holder to engage and influence senior managers and service to leads to host placements, whilst developing robust processes and lines of communication with all stakeholders.

The post will also have key responsibilities of engaging with the local community and educational institutions to raise career awareness and attract and develop a workforce with the right skills, knowledge and competence necessary to deliver safe patient care and to enhance the quality of service delivery in line with our Trust vision.

At Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, we are supportive of the people we care for in the community and aim to provide a fully responsive service to everyone who needs it. This is the same approach we take for our employees. We look to value the skills and experiences of those we work with, whether they are service users, carers, families or those looking to work with us.

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is part of the NHS. We treat NHS patients according to NHS principles and standards. The difference is the Trust is accountable to local people, rather than to Government, and so we are able to work closely with our community to develop services in the way that best suits the needs of local people.

Our Staff Survey results showed people at our Trust feel they are engaged, part of a team and work for a compassionate and inclusive organisation.

Our overall scores were better than average in eight of nine themes and level in one - the best overall results for a community, mental health and learning disabilities Trust in the south west and first equal amongst all sector NHS providers within the region too.

Gloucestershire Health and Care is committed to embedding and providing personalised care through all of its services as part of our high-quality care strategy. The purpose of personalised care is to empower people to lead the lives they want to live. Personalised care starts with a conversation with people about what matters to them. It builds on what people can do, as well as addressing their health needs. Including new ways of working and delivering care, emphasising that we need to make effective use of the full range of our people’s skills and experience to deliver the best possible patient care. So we want to know What Matters to You and that you will share our values and join us on this very important journey.

The qualification, training & experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.
