Trainee Animal Technician

Your role and responsibilities as an Animal Technician include:
Animal husbandry duties, including:
- Feeding and watering
- Health checking animals
- Supporting breeding strategies and scientific procedures
- Handling animals
- Cleaning out cages/pens
The qualities of an Animal Technician are:
- High levels of motivation and a good work ethic
- A genuine passion to work with animals - demonstrating care, welfare and compassion
- Previous experience of working with (and handling) animals would be beneficial
ALL training is provided free of charge, the end goal of the programme is for you to enter full-time employment with one of our employer partners or work with S3 Science as an Animal Technician. We currently have a 96% rate of technicians entering employment within 12 weeks of finishing the programme.

Contract length: 12 weeks
**Salary**: £8.00-£9.50 per hour
