**About Us**:
WII & A Gilbert Ltd have been established as a Civil Engineering Contractor for over 45 years, specialising in the repair and maintenance of road related structures, during which time the business has been owned and managed by 3 generations of the one family. The majority of the company's core clients are local authorities and publicly funded trunk road and motorway maintenance operating companies. **Summary of Role**:
As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative support to our staff. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
**Key Tasks**:
- Handling incoming calls and routing them to the relevant staff members.
- Managing and organizing the office filing system, including both physical and electronic files.
- Assisting with data entry, document preparation, and general office tasks.
- Maintaining office supplies and inventory, and placing orders when necessary.
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments.
- Assisting with travel arrangements and expense reports.
- Supporting the office staff with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
- General office duties as required
- File worksheets and site documentation.
- Working with and providing support to the operations team.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Academic qualifications in English and Maths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Professional and friendly demeanour.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred but not required.
From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.
You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line
Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.
