The role will include reassessment of respiratory patients as identified by the trained nurse, performing a variety of tests and clinical observations. The post holder will manage change, monitor and improve standards through supervision, evidence based practise, clinical audit, research and education. You will promote and demonstrate best practise by integrating evidence into your practise. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the post holder will be expected to work collaboratively, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals from both acute, primary care and other agencies.

This role has a strong emphasis on assisting to develop breathlessness hubs and spirometry will be an integral part of the hubs. The post is within the established respiratory team in South East Essex and will offer clinical supervision and teaching. Promote effective self-management of patients and/or providing professional intervention for community management in order to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and improve quality of life. To contribute to the improvement and development of the oxygen/respiratory service.
