An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nurse led integrated community respiratory team delivering care to the adult population of South East Essex.

The team have two sites, Rochford Hospital and Thundersley clinic and are looking for associate practitioners to support in delivering respiratory care to patients in a clinic setting or their own home.

The team consists of B7 specialist nurses and physiotherapist, B6 nurses and physiotherapist, B4 associate practitioners and co-ordinator and admin support. As an integrated service the team provide assessment and review of patients with a confirmed respiratory diagnosis including COPD, ILD and bronchiectasis, diagnostic spirometry, oxygen as the local HOSAR and respiratory physiotherapy.

The successful applicant will have ideally completed the associate practitioner FdSc course in addition to community experience which would be an advantage alongside respiratory experience with a good understanding on long term conditions and multi morbidities. Excellent communication and listening skills is essential.

To assist the team in the management and service delivery for local residents suffering from respiratory disease. This will require holistic assessment to meet health and social care needs and will include assisting with respiratory virtual ward, performing basic observations, venepuncture, capillary blood gases and undertaking spirometry.
