Here at MJ Quinn we currently have an exciting new opportunity for a **HR Advisor** to join the business. This position will be based in our Head Office in Knowsley, Liverpool and will be a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a **HR Advisor**, you will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient HR advisory service, provide HR guidance, support and expertise to management and employees in line with policy, best practice, and current legislation. Contribute to the planning, co-ordination, and control of HR activities, and to be fundamental in developing MJQ’s working culture, its reputation, and values.

**Your role will include**:
Reporting to the Head of HR you will have exposure to all areas of HR across the business, where you will:

- Provide full HR generalist support to management and employees, leading on employee relations casework including but not limited to disciplinary and grievance.
- Coach Managers in implementing and developing good people skills and performance management across the business and deliver training to upskill managers on key HR policies and procedures.
- Work in collaboration with HR team to develop HR’s strategic role within the business.
- Engage in ad hoc HR project work as directed by the Head of HR and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, policies and practices.

**Experience and skills**:

- Previous experience working in a HR generalist capacity and advising/coaching senior managers
- Experience of managing a demanding caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal influencing skills; can foster teamwork and achieve business objectives
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong work ethics and reliability, with meticulous attention to detail
- CIPD qualification Level 5 (Desirable)
- Excellent IT skills - Microsoft Office, Teams, and experience using HRMIS systems
