Housing Options Coordinator

£14.00 - £15.00 per hour - Contract - ongoing up to a year poss perm

Full time & office based - some home working option - 37 hours per week

This includes verifying documents and assessing housing need and local connection and inputting details on computer systems, preparing documents for scanning and electric filing and sending letters to applicants.

To respond to enquiries from housing applicants and housing options customers by phone, in writing or in person and maintain clear and accurate and up to date records.

To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Housing Options section, including managing phone calls, maintaining clear and accurate records photocopying, scanning, filing, ordering stationery and processing invoices in a timely matter.

To prepare housing options paperwork including interview forms, deposit bond scheme information and agreements and B&B agreements and temporary accommodation licences and letters

Provide cover for other administrative staff with the service including the Housing Options Coordinator and Recovery Officer and the Homechoice Co-ordinator if required

Undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grade of the post

Business Continuity

Play a pivotal role in business continuity planning and should the need arise assist in ensuring business recovery of key service provision in a 24 hour window.

Health and Safety

Comply with all Health and safety legislation for your area of work, ensuring that risks are identified, managed and monitored as required

DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE

Work in a team of 8

Carry out approximately 30 debt checks per week

30 enquiries per week from external customers including requests for housing options advice

10 utility bills to be paid per quarter

Ongoing document organisation and indexing.
