**The Business**

The company has grown significantly and are looking for an enthusiastic Management Accountant to join the Finance team. It has grown year upon year and has significant growth plans.

This business is dynamic and highly flexible; they have a great and very loyal workforce with a culture focused on customers and meeting commitments.

**Role Summary**

This company is looking for a reliable Management Accountant to lead the preparation of the Group’s monthly management accounts for multiple companies across the Group.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for producing accurate, timely and relevant management information that will drive management decisions and be delivered to the owners of the business.

The role will also be involved in preparation of budgets and forecasts, statutory accounts, audit and tax, analysis and projects (eg M&A).

The company is international with the head office in Wales.

The business is owned by a well-known Private Equity fund, who are focused on growing the business and making improvements across all areas of the business.

**Main responsibilities**

- Preparation of monthly management accounts for a number of Group entities.
- Preparation of associated schedules and reconciliations.
- Application of key accounting policies, in particular on revenue and profit recognition.
- Implementation of foreign exchange accounting policies - eg translation of balances and foreign entities.
- Review and investigate variances to budget.
- Prepare variance analysis and commentary for use in management meetings and Group MI Packs.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Prepare non-financial information, for example on volumes. Collation of KPI reports.
- Liaise with local teams for overseas subsidiaries.
- Manage and work closely with transactional finance team members - sales ledger and purchase ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, eg by preparing analysis of run rates.
- Assist in year-end processes, including preparation of audit working papers, collation of audit information, working with external auditors, preparation of tax packs etc.

**Skills/experience**:

- Experience of preparation of management accounts.
- Preparation of variance analysis and management accounts commentary.
- Use of Sage or similar finance software.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Experience of involvement in budgeting, preparation of statutory accounts, audit and tax.
