Do you have experience of Health & Safety in an Engineering/Manufacturing/Construction background?

This is a full time permanent role, working Monday - Friday you will be working on a well-known rail track in North Wales. **Key Duties**:

- To work both independently and as part of a team
- Ensuring all activities are done in accordance with all relevant Company procedures, Health & Safety legislation & all other generic industry technical safety standards
- Update H&S policies, procedures, guides, and forms
- Ensure compliance with new and current UK Health and Safety legislation and the Groups / Company’s Policies and Standards
- Review and assist in the production of site risk assessments
- Control of contractors and visitors to site including Permit to Work, RAMs (risk assessment and method statements)
- Compiling regular statistics and reports
- Assist in the undertaking of internal and external Health & Safety Inspections and Audits
- Coordinate and chair regular Health & Safety Meetings (sub-department & site)
- Undertake Health & Safety Inductions for new starters
- Carrying out Health & Safety Training / Refresher Training (or sourcing training providers) as and when required
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and sub-contractors in respect of Health & Safety
- Liaise with colleagues to determine solutions to Health & Safety issues
- Responsible for driving and improving safety culture across the company
- Other responsibilities or tasks that are within the postholders’ skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed

**Essential**
- Minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate or recognised equivalent
- Highley motivated and energetic
- Seek to improve existing ways of working, by finding efficiencies in health & Safety processes
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Office, particularly excel
- The aptitude to work on your own initiative and be proactive within a team environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels

**Desirable**
- NEBOSH Fire Safety Module or recognised equivalent
- NEBOSH Construction Module or recognised equivalent
