Working for a kind and outgoing lady with cerebral palsey and other complex needs. Relaxed environment that is focused on person centred care and empowerment for one individual. The individual's interests include shopping, music and socialising.

- Personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Peg feed (full training given)
- Administer medication
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
- Take client to appointments and outings, driving their wheelchair accessible vehicle
- Client is non verbal and uses communication aids. Client is very sociable and it is of the upmost importance that the carer engages in conversation, provides companionship and stimulation through outings, activities and getting to know the client. Full training will be given on communication aids.
- Monitor, record and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate supervisor
- Work well in a team, the team includes 4 carers and 2 family members, we work together to maxmise true person centred care, while keeping the setting as close to a family home as possible.
- Be open and willing to learn: the job includes basic nursing task such as peg water change, suctioning, oxygen use, dressing changes and skin monitoring. Other tasks include physio.

- Previous experience as a personal care assistant or similar role essential
- Previous work with cerebral palsy or complex SEND an advantage but not necessary
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's home
- Must have a manual driving license and be confident to drive other cars/Vans. Part of the job includes taking the individual out in their own wheelchair accessible vehicle

- 9-5pm & 8-9pm

- 9-10am, 1-5pm, 8-9pm
Hours of work: Minimum of 24 hours per week, Overtime available.
