**Role**: Volunteer Coordinator (part time)
**Location**: The Frances Suite, 1st Floor, 151 Dale Street, Liverpool L2 2JH
**Hours**: Part time 14 hours, Fixed term until 31 March 2025, Possibility of extension depending on funding
**Holidays**: 5.6 weeks inclusive of bank holidays **(pro rata)**
**Salary**: £8,736
In this role, you'll be the heart of our volunteer program, providing unwavering support and guidance to our team of volunteers as they lend their time and skills to uplift others. With your empathetic approach, you'll ensure that every individual feels heard, valued, and respected, fostering an environment of trust and understanding. **Main duties and responsibilities**:
- **Oversee Volunteer Team**: Supervise existing volunteers, serving as their primary contact and ensuring regular communication.
- **Assist in Training**: Support the Team Leader in organizing and delivering volunteer training sessions.
- **Organize Events**: Plan events to recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions, including Volunteer Week in June.
- **Achieve Recruitment Targets**: Work towards specific recruitment and matching goals for volunteers.
- **Promote Service**: Attend events to promote the volunteer program and generate interest in volunteering roles.
- **Manage Vacancies**: Maintain volunteer vacancies on external agency websites.
- **Ensure Confidentiality and GDPR Compliance**: Adhere strictly to organizational confidentiality and GDPR policies.
- **Respect Diversity**: Respect the individuality, equality, and diversity of clients and volunteers.
- **Professional Development**: Participate in relevant training and professional development activities as required.

- Experience supporting impactful volunteers.
- Builds strong relationships with team members and volunteers.
- Comfortable representing the organization at external events.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Prioritizes client needs, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Flexible and open-minded, adaptable to new challenges.
- Able to engage flexibly with individuals with mental health issues, respecting their communication needs.
- Maintains composure under pressure and manages tasks effectively.
- Recognizes when to seek assistance and does so confidently.

- Understands and applies confidentiality and GDPR policies.
**Desirable**:
- Organizational experience with group activities.
- Background in supportive and enabling roles.
- Experience in caregiving and managing challenging behaviours.
- Familiarity with mental health field.
- Proficient in person-centred approaches.
- Knowledge of outcome-based service delivery.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
