- Ability to undertake high level of data analysis
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability for high level negotiation
- Ability to prioritise and ensure deadlines are met

**The key tasks for the Cargo Management Specialist are**:

- Driving optimum cargo mix and utilisation for the UK accounts
- Take full responsibility for implementing the Geneva Space Management process
- Take full ownership and responsibility for the weekly forecasting process
- Build and own relationships with MSC Geneva Liner and MSC origin offices
- Attend monthly Geneva conference calls to discuss the allocations for the following period
- Challenge both internal and external forecasts, accuracy and requests
- Increase and monitor MSC UK % accuracy
- Liaise and present to Senior team members and other Managers on Space Management
- Liaise with the Trade client base regarding Space Management
- Secure priority space for Key clients via Geneva liner dept and origin fob team
- Secure and develop weekly allocation per string / vessel / Port in line with budget
- Manage and update the Space Management plan
- Create weekly reports reviewing results on forecast versus actuals.
- Manage BCO space requirements to assist Key Account Managers
- Maintain records and statistics and set UK KPI targets
