Carer Assistant
A typical shift involves assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care.
You'll be expected to maintain the highest standards of care and champion the dignity and independence of all our residents.
In addition, you'll support the senior carers, complete tasks, and conduct weekly checks to monitor the health of our residents. Any significant changes must be reported to the senior immediately.
Your job also involves supporting residents at bedtime, serving meals, and transferring them to their bedrooms. This might include helping them to walk, moving them in a wheelchair, or using a hoist.
Even though twilight shifts are later, you can attend planned activities. Additionally, administrative duties like updating food, fluid, stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes, and care plans are also a part of your job.
We seek someone who cares for others and wants to make a real difference in people's lives. You'll need experience working in a care setting. We will support you throughout your journey.
You'll know there will be challenging days, but you'll also see that you'll laugh, joke, listen, and make lasting memories with our residents as you get to know them.
Being a great communicator, you'll enjoy working in a close-knit team that feels like a family with people from all walks of life.
Your job will be rewarding, and you'll cherish your daily moments with our residents.
What's in it for you?
You'll get a comprehensive induction, ongoing training and development, and access to internal career progression programs. Your DBS Check (£60) will be paid for, and you'll have access to our rota and payroll system—an app-based service that allows you to control when you access your earnings.
Additionally, you'll receive a NEST workplace pension, life assurance, and bereavement support. You'll also receive 28 days of annual leave (inclusive of statutory bank holidays).
