**Job Description Summary**: This role reports into the Overhaul Leader and is directly responsible for the operational management of a large business area. The role holder will be managing a large team of both direct and indirect reports and will be accountable for delivery to established KPI's and achieving the strategic priorities of the business area.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Manage a large operational area in order to reach defined targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.Overall responsibility within the assigned business area for problem solving, waste elimination and productivity improvement using lean principles
- Ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
- Utilising in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and/or technical experience to execute strategy.
- Uses judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes. Work across business functions and engage multiple stakeholders as required.
- Embrace business strategy and information and routinely deliver meaningful messages to the teamDeputising for Overhaul Leader as required and acts as escalation point for any complex issues.

**Required Qualifications & Characteristics**:

- This role requires advanced experience in Manufacturing & Operational Management.
- Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Experience in continuous improvement using Lean principles.
- Effectively role models' the GE Leadership Behaviours
