**The Lead Clinicians are**:
**Haematology**: Ms Sandy Hayes

**Oncology**: Dr Miranda Payne

**Palliative Care**: Dr Victoria Bradley

**Medical Physics**: James Harris

The Oncology Department saw around 6,000 new referrals during 2018-19 in Oxford and the Horton, and provides patients with comprehensive care to include full assessment and treatment with both radiotherapy (3400 new patients, 52,000 fractions, 874 courses of inverse planned IMRT, 50 courses of SABR) and chemotherapy (11,000 day unit attendances in OUH and Horton). In addition, a significant outpatient and chemotherapy workload is undertaken by our consultants visiting surrounding DGHs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary Head & Neck, Skin and Late Effects Teams

The Blenheim Head and Neck Centre brings together specialist surgeons from ENT, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Skull Base and Plastics backgrounds with the full range of supportive AHP teams. The team is a regional referral centre for major Head and Neck surgery including robotic techniques, running their own ward and outpatient area. Several members of the team have a national profile, keeping Oxford at the cutting edge of advances in research and practice.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

**COVID-19**: The COVID-19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course our patients from the virus when working in our healthcare settings. Whilst COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment, we do encourage our staff to get vaccinated. If you are unvaccinated there is helpful advice and information at Oxfordshire County Council Website where you can also find out more about how to access vaccination.

The post-holder’s duties will be primarily at Churchill Hospital, in Oxford and at the Horton Hospital in Banbury, but it is a condition of the appointment that the post holder will be willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations or outreach district general hospital clinics, including the Great Western Hospital Swindon, Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes. Each 4-hour clinic has 2 new and 7 follow up patients; for a 42-week year, this post holder is likely to see 250 - 300 new patients.
