Scientific Digital Transformation Consultant

Intent

Does Scientific Digital Transformation that helps our customers become cloud-native, digital enterprises excite you? We are looking for an experienced Digital Transformation Consultant with a background in science-driven industries (e.g. Life Sciences/ Agrochemicals/ Industrial Chemistry, Food & Beverages, Energy, et al) to join the Zifo Consulting team in Europe. Experience in Scientific R&D and Manufacturing processes, tools (LIMS, ELN, CDS, Instruments), project management or Data & Technology standards is expected.

We work for many science led customers including nine out of the top ten global biopharma companies. Our customers are investing on their Scientific Informatics and Digital Transformation to accelerate the discovery, the development and manufacturing of new Products, Therapeutics, Drugs and Vaccines. Consequently, we are very rapidly growing and looking to expand our R&D Digital transformation team in Europe (team of 80 at the start of 2022). This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving and growing organisation and help leading Science based industries deploy and support cutting edge scientific R&D technology globally.

As a Lead or Managing Consultant, you will be leading engagements for the R&D divisions of our customers, or participating as a member. You will take your customers through the digital transformation journey by understanding their business challenges and strategic objectives, assessing their digital or data maturity, building their digital roadmaps.

This role is Europe based. Work location is flexible and job can be performed remotely. Ability to travel occasionally is requested.

**Responsibilities**:
Design and lead R&D or Manufacturing strategic consulting engagement to shape Science Digital transformation. That may include:
R&D or Manufacturing Informatics landscape analysis and gap assessment,

Customer digital and/or data maturity assessment, review and analyse on-going digital transformation activities and projects,

Enterprise digital and data roadmaps to help R&D Informatics organization achieve their strategic objectives,

Digital strategy implementation review,

Functional assessment and assistance to selection of R&D/ Manufacturing Technology and Data platforms.

Manage key stakeholders at customer level and help mid-to-senior leadership reach consensus and alignment.

Nurture long term Customer relationships with Internal teams, vendors, partners and third parties.

Provide hands-on contribution in critical Digital programs.

**Ideally, you will have**:
10 years or more in a scientific/ science-driven industry

Background in Chemistry, Biology, Scientific Informatics or Manufacturing or Food Science

Ability to start new engagements and conversations at the highest level within a customer

End to end digital transformation experience of 5 years - strategy, design/ planning, implementation, change delivery

Proven Experience with Scientific Informatics solutions (e.g. LIMS, ELN, CDS, SDMS, Instruments)

Strong experience in consultative environments or in Consulting

Having deployed Scientific Informatics Enterprise solutions for large accounts

Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking and Decision Making

Strong understanding of established and evolving industry standards and best practices driving digital transformation

Strong collaborations skills with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and a self-starting, proactive approach,

Proven experience with IT processes and methodologies - Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, CI/CD, DevOps, ITIL and associated tools

Experience with Change Management aspects of Data-driven/Technology transformation with large organizations

Plugged-in to emerging commercial and open-source technologies & solutions.

**Nice to have**:
Good understanding of IT Enterprise Architecture, Data Modelling, Master Data management, Data Sciences, Omics & Ontology development

Experience with cloud-based data storage and analytics platforms

Experience with Data Performance and Quality reporting

Experience with commonly used technology solutions supporting Big Data, RPA, Analytics Business Intelligence, HPC, AI/ML.
