Job Title: Pensions Administrator - The Pearson Pension Plan

Reports to: Pensions Administration Manager

Main purpose/objectives of role:

- Reporting to the Pensions Administration Manager, as part of the multi-disciplined team looking after 27,000 members with over £4bn worth of pension liabilities, dealing with all administrative responsibilities of The Pension Plan.

Main activities/responsibilities:
-Working within the Pensions Department providing a wide variety of administration services for the Pension Plan.
- Assisting with member queries by either telephone or writing in an efficient and timely manner.
- Assisting with the processing of basic administration tasks including joiners, leavers and automated calculations for transfers and retirements.
- Assist in projects as and when required including data cleanse of the information held on the pension administration database.
- To carry out ad hoc duties as and when required.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

- 1 to 2 years’ experience of either DB or DC Pension administration.
- Must be highly motivated keen to learn and someone who takes a positive/flexible approach to their workload.
- A high degree of accuracy combined with an ability to work to deadlines.
- A diligent but fast worker who can effectively manage workload and be able to work effectively on their own when required.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience of POII administration system is advantageous but not essential. Full training will be provided
