The Scotch Governance Team is comprised of Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, Risk & Assurance, and Training functions, and our mission is to lead Scotch Governance with integrity; partnering growth, and delivering world-class reputation. Joining a wider Governance Team of 60 people who are passionate about what they do, providing functional expertise to support and maintain the delivery of high standards across our 50+ sites.

About the Role

As a Health & Safety Co-Ordinator in our dedicated team in Sheildhall, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting sites attain compliance to legislation, Diageo policies, standards and protocols.

You’ll optimise risk assessment/work Instructions reviews and development of new documentation and conducts task-based risk assessments where appropriate.
- You'll be responsible for collaborating closely with HSE and support site in taking care of site based regulatory issues.
- Attend relevant site meetings as and when required, Support with H&S Accident & Incident investigations to ensure standard process is followed and that the completion of investigations is within measured time scales
- Lead work streams to focus on driving continuous improvement & incident reduction
- You’ll deliver training on health & safety across site and support delivery improvement programmes that drive the site/site business areas health & safety strategy.
- Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other key performance indicators and targets.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can tackle problems.

Having a demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles would be a welcome advantage.

It’d be great if you had the following:

- NEBOSH Certificate qualification in Occupational Safety & Health
- Tech SP Membership of Institute Occupational Safety & Health
- Health & safety leadership experience and previous knowledge of a food / drink manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in handling health & safety incidents & activities
- Auditor qualification
- Experience of working with multiple partners to drive good health & safety practices.
