Supply chain is a function within our airline organisation responsible for the timely and most economical availability of aircraft spares to support the TUI operation and maintenance activities. The supply chain function operates as a multi-disciplinaryteam of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

As Senior Material Supplier, you will provide full material support to production areas including Maintenance Operational Control, Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Workshops and work with External Suppliers.

In this role, you’ll report to the Regional Operational Supply Chain / Purchasing Team Leader

***ABOUT THE JOB**

As Senior Material Supplier - Defect and AOG support, you will support the AOG desk and Maintrol defect support coordinator on the following tasks:

- Deferred-, NEF defect purchasing and follow up
- Transferring available materials for input
- Outstation shelf-life replenishment support and shipment tracking
- Support AOG desk on shift during bottlenecks to cover when operationally required.
- Be first point of contact for operational maintenance planning & defect coordinator on special requests
- The operational support and procurement of aircraft spare parts
- Tracing and tracking of on-going shipments worldwide and expediting the delivery of parts into the shops or to other stations
- Coordination of case-to-case logístical activities worldwide
- Monitoring task progress and taking the necessary action to deliver in agreed timescales/budgets, completing all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain a shift handover log for your designated area at the end of each day and liaise with other departments as necessary (e.g. outside agencies, airport authorities, Maintrol etc)

**ABOUT YOU**
- Aviation background with supply chain experience, including procurement & tendering experience
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of AMOS is advantageous
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Demonstrate self-confidence and the ability to present at all levels across a wide engineering organisation
- Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
- Flexibility to work occasional extended shifts outside normal office hours
