Are you teacher or trainer who is passionate about sharing your knowledge with learners, helping them understand the part they can play in ending violence against women?

Are you a confident communicator, able to convey complex messaging to a wide variety of audiences?

This role will form part of our established training team, delivering training to the specialist violence against women sector, public sector, professionals, private companies and individuals, both online and in person.

Travel across Wales will be required to deliver in person training, as well delivering online and e-learning training delivery.

**Job Purpose**:
The post-holder will join our Wales-wide Training team to develop and deliver high quality, accredited and non-accredited training programmes on domestic abuse, sexual violence and all forms of violence against women, for specialist services and other organisations, as part of Welsh Women’s Aid training strategy implementation.

Training development and delivery is a mix of in person and online and includes e-learning modules.

**Essential Person Specification Criteria**

**Experience / qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years’experience delivering training on domestic abuse or other forms of violence against women.
- Recognised teaching/training qualification - minimum C&G 730-7 stages 1 & 2 or equivalent.
- Experience of design and delivery of training and training resources in the field of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
- Experience of establishing strong relationships and networks.
- Experience of liaising and working with other organisations and agencies in partnership.
- Experience working as a member of a team and lone working.

**Knowledge**
- Excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and understanding of the needs and experiences of abused women and children.
- Excellent knowledge of the role of voluntary and statutory services in meeting those needs.
- Of the effects of violence against women on children and young people
- Of equality and diversity legislation, policy and practice.
- Good understanding of a wide range of training method and materials and learning methods suitable for diverse groups of professionals across a range of sectors.

**Skills**
- Excellent training, presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to create new and adapt existing training materials.
- High standard of writing and literacy skills, evidenced by the development of high-quality training resources and programmes.
- Effective assessment, planning and evaluating skills.
- Proven time management, problem solving and solution-focussed skills.
- Ability to work on several projects to deadlines in a complex, changing environment.
- Ability to collate, organise, process and utilise information from a wide range of sources.
- Proven IT skills including use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
