**Ambivet Group - Ilkeston practice have a fantastic opportunity for a Student Veterinary Nurse/Patient Care Assistant to join our team.**

**We are looking for an individual who possesses great communication skills, is passionate about promoting exceptional animal care and enjoys working in a team environment.**

This position will include working Monday - Friday and will also include working weekends and Out of Hours.

To join us as a Student Veterinary Nurse, our ideal applicant will be reliable with a willingness to learn and be able to work within a team. **Previous experience in a veterinary environment is essential.**

The SVN role is one of the foundations of an outstanding veterinary practice, and as a SVN you would be involved in supporting our team of qualified RVNs and Vets to provide outstanding care to our patients, working alongside a lovely team of people.

This role will involve animal handling, assisting vets and nurses in restraining animals for treatment, cleaning, walking and feeding patients, general cleaning and maintenance duties, answering phone calls, reception cover, greeting clients and providing the highest standards of animal and customer care.

**Experience and Qualifications needed**:
Our ideal applicant will be reliable with a willingness to learn and to be able to work within a team. **Previous experience in a veterinary environment is essential.**

The salary for this position will be in line with National Minimum Wage +3% cost of living increase.
