About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Associate to join our established community nursing team in Erewash North. This role will provide care for housebound patients in Ilkeston and the surrounding areas.
As a Nursing Associate, you will be responsible for providing community-based individualized care, including long-term condition management, venepuncture, and medication administration. You will also be expected to complete various nursing assessments and follow treatment regimes.
Main Responsibilities
Working as a Nursing Associate, you will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will work in a multi-professional team and be required to think on your feet and be empathetic.
You will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing your own day-to-day work tasks and activities, delegating tasks to junior colleagues as needed. You will also be required to have access to a car to complete patient visits in the community and clinical settings.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire. We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centers, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes, and increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
Person Specification
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Placement experience working within the 4 fields of nursing
- Ability to travel in own vehicle across a place
- Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in the context of the team and the organization
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers, as well as all members of the multi-disciplinary team
