**Job Title**: Hello Fresh Production Supervisor

**Reporting To**:Hello Fresh Manager

Overall Function
- Ensuring a safe working environment for all colleagues at all times.
- To co-ordinate activities and requirements of the production area through acting as first point of contact and liaison for all HF production related staff in regards to dealing with and resolving issues and ensuring the efficient and effective running of the line.
- Ensuring that all paperwork, processes and procedures are followed and adhered to at all times.

Dimensions of the Job

Staff - Responsible for co-ordinating and supporting production teams

Materials - Responsible for ensuing smooth flow of Materials (Mince/primal and packaging) allocation to production lines in a timely manner.

Communication - liaise and communicate with operational management in regards to HF operations.

Production Targets (KPI’s) - Responsible for supporting all lines to ensure production targets/KPI’s are achieved whilst driving performance through the implementation of continuous improvement.

Trouble Shooting - Responsible for resolving immediate and medium term issues in regards to the performance of the line efficiencies, stock control (raw material & packaging), staffing and training requirements

Principle Accountabilities

1. Co-ordination - To act as first point of contact for the operatives; assisting and training them to operate in an effective way to achieve production targets. To report production issues that result in ensuring that minutes of more downtime in a timely manner to ensure the lines are kept operating at expected performance targets.

2. Efficiency. Ensure that the production line equipment is operated at maximum efficiency so that the Daily Production Plan is achieved. Assist line colleagues to operate process equipment as required. Any shortfalls and downtime of 15 minutes or more should be communicated to the Senior Supervisor and/or Operations Manager immediately. KPI targets to be achieved and SIC recording to be accurate and timely. (KPI’s to be agreed and set in 2023)

- Products meet customer specifications 100%
- Packs Per Hour (PPH) Product/line specific
- Labour costs Achieve business targets
- Downtime Zero
- SIC completion 100% completion
- Paperwork completion/accuracy 100% accurate & complete

3. Product Quality. Ensure that the quality of all products generated by the lines meet the customer standards including; (sealing quality, labelling, packaging and weights/finished pack quantities).

4. Rework. Minimise the level of rework through a Right First Time approach to production. Any product that doesn’t meet the correct specifications or is an over pack should be either re-worked or unpacked in the agreed time span.

5. Administration. Ensure that all paperwork and line check requirements are met.

6. Development of People. Assist and train the team to reach their full potential through communication, coaching & identifying training needs.

7. Hygiene and Housekeeping. Ensure that the Hygiene of the production area & surrounding areas are maintained at the highest level.

8. Health and Safety. Ensure the safety of all operators in the factory, in accordance with the H&S act. The Fire exits, are to be kept clear at all times.

Decision Making Authority

Refer to Operations Manager and technical department if product or process falls outside standards.

Contact with others

Maintain a high level of communication with own team, other department managers, QC Staff, engineering department, technical dept. and other members of the operations team.

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications

Be able to set up area to its optimal level (process equipment, planning, stock, packaging and labour) to achieve targets and plan.

Be able to pass on a skill through coaching & training.

To have experience of production and production systems/processes.

Production qualification, or relevant qualifications, would be beneficial but not essential.

**Salary**: £13.10 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
