Hygiene Supervisor

As a hygiene supervisor your role will include but not limited to:

- To be responsible in the cleaning of food production areas and equipment in a manner that satisfies leading industry standards.
- To allocate PPE in the correct manner and document.
- Strip and clean machinery in a safe and hygienic way ensuring production schedules are maintained.
- Immediately report any machinery defects that may effect production schedule.
- To ensure that all hygiene team work to prescribed methods and quality.
- Address breaches of company policy and procedures with relevant employees.
- Liaise with Hygiene manager on a daily basis to manage the day to day cleaning requirements.
- Liaise where appropriate with other Managers / Supervisors.
- Delegate hygiene duties as appropriate.
- To check and countersign hygiene documentation, to validate that it is completed correctly and accurately.
- To assist in the training of hygiene personnel.
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting them to the hygiene manager.
- Monitoring and reporting hygiene equipment and pressure wash system. Some basic maintenance will be required.
- Will be required to cover some duties of operatives in the event of absence.
- Responsible for administering first aid and completing all documentation.
- To comply with company policy on fire procedures, being a point of contact for emergency services. Maintaining and resetting of the full fire system.
- Responsible for securing the building and outside areas, setting of the alarm system.
- To be flexible in terms of contracted hours.

Skill set
- Ability to work alone and part of a team.
- Ability to follow and give instructions.
- To have a good degree of manual dexterity.
- Ability to safely handle chemicals.
- A good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Good communication skills, to include verbal and written English.
- Ability to work to deadlines.

Pay: £14.88 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
