**Job Description**:
**Job purpose**: To work with students whose behaviour is having an impact upon their attainment and/or learning of others.

To contribute to the effective running and tracking of the behaviour protocols, particularly the RESET room, and our ‘on call’ system.

**Reporting to**: Line managed by the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour. The job holder will work closely with the school’s Assistant Headteachers, Deputy

Headteachers, Heads of Year and Inclusion Team.

**Starting salary**: SPOT £19,777 actual gross per annum

**Hours**: 37 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 INSET days (39 working weeks /

44.652 paid weeks)

**Main duties**

❖ In conjunction with other key staff, to assess and provide support to students in the RESET room, to enable them to overcome barriers to learning and engage with school. This will involve 1:1 mentoring or small group intervention work, setting and monitoring learning content while the student is in the RESET room.

❖ To promote positive Behaviour across the school. This will involve supporting the Inclusion and

Behaviour team, Senior Leadership, Heads of Year, Heads of Department and Teachers to deal promptly with behaviour incidents in line with school policies.

❖ To investigate reported behaviour incidents, in conjunction with other key staff. This will involve contacting the parents of individual students as part of effective lines of communication between school and home.

❖ To supervise and monitor students, on rotation with other team members. This will involve taking part in ‘On Call’ provision around the school, supervising the RESET room at times, supporting the running after school detentions, and general supervision duties during break and lunchtimes.

❖ To organise and lead a range of opportunities for underachieving, disaffected and vulnerable students which focus on raising aspirations, promoting ambition, re-engagement in learning, and improving their academic progress. This will involve developing links to extended services and activities providers.

❖ To provide information, reports, and analysis on student behaviour with a special focus on micro-cohorts. This will involve managing student data and confidential information obtained from the school SIMs and CPOMs system.

**General responsibilities applicable to all staff**

❖ To work effectively with other members of staff to meet the needs of all students.

❖ To attend staff meetings and Trust-based INSET as required.

❖ To be responsible for own self-development on a continuous basis, undertaking relevant training and/or professional development as appropriate.

❖ To maintain at all times the utmost confidentiality with regard to all reports, records, personal data relating to staff and students, and any other information of a sensitive or confidential nature acquired in the course of undertaking duties for the Trust, with due regard to General Data

Protection Regulations.
