The Regional Digital Officer will oversee and direct the entire digital environment for Mott MacDonald within the respective region. They will be responsible for the development and implementation of a customer centric digital strategy and annual plan for the region including oversight of the proprietary MM software platform, Moata, and the digital hub. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, with a soft report to the Group Digital Officer.

Accountabilities
- Creating and executing comprehensive digital strategies aligned with Mott MacDonald's global vision and local business objectives. This involves understanding the business needs, identifying digital solutions that meet those needs, and overseeing their effective implementation.
- Working closely with various stakeholders, including other regional and global digital leaders, to collaborate on best practices, share knowledge, and leverage synergies to enhance the overall digital ecosystem at Mott MacDonald.
- Establishing and annually reviewing the Digital Organisation in the region including structure, talent, principles, systems and processes.
- Building effective partnerships with regional leaders to ensure understanding of market, commercial & strategic priorities to inform the digital strategy, product roadmaps and interventions.
- Ensuring an increase in Digital capability and understanding of our digital services across the region to present a more Digital-led Mott MacDonald.
- Guaranteeing optimised offerings to clients and the business through common principles, sharing of best practice and effective collaboration.
- Engaging with clients and Mott MacDonald sectors and practices, driving an increase in revenue associated with our digital service offerings provided as part of, or alongside our domain project delivery.

**Responsibilities**:
Lead, mentor and develop a regional digital leadership team to deliver the digital plan, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth. Lead the development and execution of comprehensive digital strategies and initiatives across the region, ensuring alignment with Mott MacDonald's global digital vision and regional business objectives. Act as a change agent and digital evangelist, fostering a culture of digital innovation and driving digital transformation throughout the region.

Manage the regional digital budget and work across the group to ensure digital and excellence are delivering superior ROI. Oversee and provide the regional management requirements for the proprietary MM software platform, Moata, driving its growth and integration to meet business and client needs across the region. Ensure optimal usage and ongoing development of digital and excellence hubs, providing cutting-edge resources and support for proposal development.

Work closely with other regional and global digital leaders, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing to enhance the overall digital ecosystem at Mott MacDonald. Maintain active communication with key business and client stakeholders across the region to ensure alignment of digital strategies with business goals and objectives.

Stay abreast of emerging digital trends, technologies, and innovative solutions, and drive their adoption where relevant to keep Mott MacDonald at the forefront of the industry. Encourage a culture of innovation within the team, promoting the exploration of new ideas and approaches to enhance our digital capabilities and offerings.

Develop and implement robust performance metrics to measure the success of digital strategies and initiatives, using these insights to drive continuous improvement and to champion adoption of our digital platform and tools. Ensure robust digital risk management processes are in place, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, and measure performance against these critical areas.

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, information technology or computer science / related field.

Experience
- Proven experience in a digital leadership role
- Track record of influencing positively, at level and across an organisation.
- Progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide business improvement or change programmes, operating and influencing effectively across the organisation and within complex contexts.
- Strategy and management consulting experience desirable.
