A great opportunity has arisen for HR professional to join my client at their head office in Wimbledon.
**Key accountabilities**
- Advise managers, as required, on HR issues such as poor performance, conduct, capability, long term sickness, family leave etc. and provide the necessary support to ensure the issues are managed in line with company policy, best practice and current legislation.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers throughout the implementation of the company’s formal disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures, arranging and attending meetings, where required.
- Complete any necessary follow up action arising from disciplinary, capability or grievance meetings including the creation of notes, drafting of letters and other documents, in a timely manner.
- Work with managers, where required to ensure that appropriate reviews are conducted with employees during their probationary period and support managers to rectify any performance issues that are identified.
- Advise employees on the company’s HR policies, processes and procedures as required ensuring that advice is accurate, consistent and timely.
- Provide guidance and support to employees who are planning to take family leave. Advise them of their rights and responsibilities, complete workplace risk assessments, as required and follow up any issues that are identified.
- Provide the HR admin team with support, as required to complete new starter on-boarding administration including but not limited to the review of contracts of employment and offer letters, reference checks and communicating new starter information to payrolletc.
- Build and maintain effective and productive working relationships with colleagues across the company and within the department.
- Maintain your knowledge and understanding of English employment law to ensure that the advice you give is current and accurate.
- Provide support, advice and guidance to managers during any change management projects including restructures, TUPE transfers and change of terms and ensure that they are managed in line with best practice and company policy.
- Complete any other projects or assignments as directed by the HR Manager as may be required form time to time.
**Professional skills and experience**
- Has a proven track record of success in a similar role, ideally in a multi-site business
- A balance of HR experience gained from customer and sales focused organisations such as property services, retail or hospitality.
- Has extensive experience of managing employee relations issues effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of English employment law.
- Builds constructive working relationships with a high level of integrity and is a trusted business partner.
- Effective influencing and persuasion skills and manages internal politics constructively.
- Professional, is well networked and maintains CPD.
- Clear and concise communication skills both verbal and written.
- IT literate - Word, Excel and preferably experienced in using a relevant HR information systems.
- Fully or partly CIPD qualified.
