Overview:
MIMS has been a leading publication in the medical media for more than 60 years and is now marking its transition into a totally digital brand with the launch of a series of innovative online products for the pharmaceutical industry.

The success of MIMS is built on the combination of a directory of prescribing information for more than 3,000 drugs, alongside news, data and guidance for healthcare professionals. We are now expanding to offer a range of bespoke services dedicated to our

corporate subscribers, allowing MIMS to meet the needs of both prescribers and manufacturers within the sector.

**Responsibilities**:
The Senior Writer will report to the Associate Editor responsible for corporate content, working together to develop this new service as an essential part of the MIMS offering.

You will be responsible for gathering ideas for news and analysis articles from the outputs of our drug information trackers, and relevant developments in the wider healthcare and pharmaceuticals sector.

Your success will depend on:

- Working with the Associate Editor to ensure that regular high-quality content is produced to set deadlines, across all of our digital formats and channels.
- Developing and monitoring a variety of news and information sources, including the MIMS drug information trackers.
- Developing and nurturing industry contacts to gather news, information and opinions on relevant developments.
- Generating ideas for new content to help develop and expand our coverage.
- Reviewing user analytics data to ensure that you are delivering engaging content that meets the needs of the target audience.

Qualifications:
Strong writing and editorial skills are essential for this role, as is a knowledge of pharmaceuticals and/or the pharmaceutical industry. You should have experience in a busy editorial environment, be comfortable working under pressure, and understand the need to deliver information quickly and effectively to a demanding audience.

You will need to be:

- An enthusiastic team player
