**Job overview**:
This is a newly established role in the NCA.
Provide effective and efficient support to the NCA PGME Senior Leadership Team. This will include the provision of exceptionally high standards of administrative and secretarial support.
Responsible for ensuring progress on actions are delivered within agreed timescales, both those allocated to themselves but also supporting those allocated to the Senior Leadership Team.
**Main duties of the job**:
The core function of the PGME Department is to ensure medical education and training across the Trust meets national, local and professional quality standards. Delivering Postgraduate Medical Education is embedded in the Trust’s strategic goals. It is recognised that high quality medical education has a significant downstream effect; it not only raises the quality of service provision but also the quality of doctors attracted to work at the Trust and the quality of patient experience. PGME therefore safeguards the reputation of the Trust and supports its ambition to be the safest organisation in the UK.
The Trust has a strong track record for educating doctors in training. Every year the trust educates all levels of doctors in Foundation, GP, CMT Specialty and academic, leadership and research programmes, as well as ensuring the supervision and development of Clinical Fellows and Physician Associates. The Trust aims to deliver high quality training to doctors at all levels.
Led by the Director of Medical Education and the Head of Service for Postgraduate Medical Education & Revalidation, the Postgraduate Medical Education team work actively with all junior doctors and Physician associates to understand their education needs and to ensure they receive the appropriate level of support and training. Moreover, those delivering education across the Trust are also supported and developed by the team.

**Essential criteria**:
- Degree level qualifications. OR Diploma level qualification/demonstrable experience in the fields of administrative procedures
- Good levels of MS Office products especially the use of complex outlook diaries
**Desirable criteria**:
- Post graduate level qualification in administrative management.
- Experience and knowledge of the working practices of an NHS Organisation
**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex issues and work effectively with a wide range of staff at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to maintain high standards of business conduct, producing excellent quality of work whilst working under pressure.
- Ability to produce clear reports and plans.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritise and balance a range of competing tasks to deliver to agreed timescales often under pressure
- Significant experience of high-level complex diary management.
- Minute taking skills
- Advanced keyboard skills
