**Job overview**:

The team covers the Bury, Oldham, and Rochdale Care Organisations, which make up the Northeast Sector (NES) of the Northern Care Alliance (NCA).
The delivery of Postgraduate Medical Education is embedded within the Trust’s strategic goals, and it is recognised that high quality medical education has a significant downstream effect; it not only raises the quality of service provision but also the quality of doctors attracted to work at the Trust and the quality of patient experience. PGME and Revalidation therefore safeguards the reputation of the Trust and supports its ambition to be the safest organisation in the UK.
The NCA NES PGME and Revalidation team aims to deliver high quality training to doctors at all levels.
Led by the Director of Medical Education, the Responsible Officer, and the Head of Service for Postgraduate Medical Education & Revalidation, the Postgraduate Medical Education and Revalidation team work closely with all junior doctors and Physician Associates to understand their education needs and to ensure they receive the appropriate level of support and training. Moreover, those delivering education across the Trust are also supported and developed by the team.

They will work as part of the NCA Northeast Sector (NES) PGME and Revalidation administrative team and work alongside clinical and management teams to provide effective quality management and governance processes.
This involves data collection analysis and management, support for the NES PGME risk and financial management systems and assisting with the administration and coordination of training for Junior Doctors, along with associated events including teaching and induction.
This is an interesting and dynamic service; therefore, the post holder is expected to be flexible and enthusiastic in order to support the evolving nature of education and training. To meet the needs of the Trust’s services, you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. The department values a healthy work/life balance, and this post will include opportunities to work from home.
