Business Support and Training Coordinator

Avove is a new, independent utilities infrastructure business, formed from the utilities division of leading infrastructure services company, Amey.
We design, build and maintain the UK’s utilities infrastructure to help transform local communities for the better.
We are proud to work in partnership with our clients, including Severn Trent, United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, Scottish Water, Northern Powergrid and Scottish Power.
**The Role**:
Our successful Northern Power Grid contract has a large and varied mandatory training programme of onboarding and refresher training. We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to populate, coordinate and drive our training programme. In addition to this Avove require wider business support with contract PPE purchasing, distribution and material spend. This is a full time permanent opportunity based from our office in Durham.
**Responsibilities**:
We are looking for 100% compliance on mandatory training skills for our entire direct labour workforce circa 150 individuals and our >100 subcontract partners for client authorisations.
- Avove’s training department for course booking and information
- Training providers including the client training school
- 20+ Subcontract Partners
- Business Support Coordinator
- Report directly to contract management team on compliance and training forecasts
- Manage and update external training and client authorisation on behalf of subcontract employees
- Assist in the acquisition and GRN of Contract PPE requirements and similar daily operational support functions
**Skills & Experience**:
- Knowledge of utilities / vegetation management
- Computer Literacy - Excel
- Good verbal / written communicator
- Organised / competent with large data
- Understanding of forward planning / forecasting
- Industry experience
