Trinity Business Support are working with an established family business in Durham, who are looking for an experienced Transport Planner/European Road Freight Forwarder to join their team

Our client is looking for a dynamic individual with solid experience in freight forwarding and who demonstrates a good knowledge of European and International locations.

**Main Duties**:
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will:

- Be part of a team and take responsibility for European & UK transport road freight forwarding.
- Within the role, you will be encouraged to create new business, giving potential into the wider UK regions, making a significant impact on the growth of the business, whilst working within an operational role.
- As a freight forwarder / transport planner, you will become an expert on their product, confidently marketing the benefits of the business across the region and beyond.
- You will play a pivotal part in the success of the business at the Durham branch.

**Requirements**:

- Be experienced in the road freight forwarding / transport business operationally, with also the drive in the business growth at the branch.
- Strong geographical knowledge of European and International destinations
- You will come with a proven freight forwarding & transport background, ideally from within the freight forwarding sector.
- Have strong awareness of the digital and e-commerce industries.
- Be fearless in running with and selling a niche transport product.
- Have the organisational skills to balance and prioritise numerous challenges within the business.

**Pay/Benefits/Hours**:
£25,000 - £35,000 (a degree of flexibility depending on experience)

10% Annual Performance Bonus

21 Days holiday + Bank Holidays & Day off for your Birthday

Other benefits to be discussed by our client

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00pm + 1 hour for lunch

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £26,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

**Experience**:

- Administrative: 1 year (preferred)
- Freight Forwarding: 1 year (preferred)
