Team Leader Care Assistant

Our rapidly growing Residential Home requires an experienced Senior Night Carer to join our fun and vibrant team. We are looking for a friendly, motivated and caring individual. A Senior Carer who will take pride in helping our residents feel safe, valued and respected.
You will need:
A passion for providing person centred care
Support the management team in delivering to a high standard of care
To promote the personal, social and health care needs of the residents
To promote the rights and independence of the residents ensuring the dignity of the individual in a manner that respects their rights and promotes independence.
To assist the manager in the day to day running of the home.
To lead a team of carers to ensure the quality of personal care is given to a high standard, inline with the standards and the homes policies and procedures.
To lead a team of carers to ensure the religious and social needs of the residents are being met whereby supporting them and external communities, churches, indoor/outdoor activities.
To lead a team of carers to ensure the health needs of the residents.
To support the manager with multi-agency meetings as required.
To ensure paperwork required by you is completed with accuracy, factual and clear.
To comply with the homes guidelines, policies and procedures at all times.
To provide support to families ensuring they are involved in the care of the person.
To support professionals coming into our home for example district nurses, Doctors.
To support the manager by reporting any issues raised by care staff, residents or families.
You will be required to attend all mandatory training to meet the changing needs of the home.
You will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, with a caring and professional attitude.
You will need strong leadership and communication skills.
Shifts will include weekends and bank holidays and day cover if needed.
NVQ level 2 (and be prepared to working towards NVQ level 3), preferably a minimum of one-years’ experience at leading a shift.
An enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references will be required for the position
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.15 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus scheme
