Livability Millie College are a new SEN College located at Holton Lee opposite Poole Bay. It is a one-of-a-kind work environment with beautiful views, an invested and close team, and the opportunity to be a part of something truly special for our students.

The Enterprise team work with the college and the wider community to not only raise funds for Livability education but equip our students with skills in animal care, horticulture, conservation, and hospitality.

**Job Purpose
- To establish Livability Millie College & the Holton Lee site as a community hub, a centre for learning, and a visitor destination
- To plan community activity and events in line with the enterprise strategy and to support the student learning and engagement
- To manage Livability Millie College & Holton Lee’s online presence including social media, mailing lists, & events.
- To deliver the outcomes that aid in Livability Millie College’s long term enterprise goals.
- To develop and maintain successful relationships with external stakeholders to expand the college’s reach in the wider community.
- To support the growth of the Enterprise activities on and off site

**Key Responsibilities
- Manage a successful and sustainable online presence for Livability Holton Lee & Millie College accounts including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
- Co-ordinate the day-to-day relationships between our established community and newcomers including the advertising and development of our Open Days.
- Engage with existing & new partner organisations to recruit volunteers from target groups.
- Work with partner organisations to deliver a range of opportunities for volunteers and student placement and support their progress at Livability Millie College.
- Work directly with the Education Enterprise and Visitor Services Manager on day-to-day tasks and whilst delivering the core aims of the enterprise strategy.
- Finalise the copy and imagery used on all Millie College marketing materials and social media, following Livability brand guidelines.
- Represent the College at outreach events both within the community and seek out opportunities to attend new, relevant, external events.
- Take a proactive approach to improving the visitor experience, offering training and support to students, staff, & volunteers and implementing change where appropriate.
- Collate data and evaluate outcome to produce evaluation reports in relation to community activities and informal learning opportunities.
- Maintain public facing areas of the college, taking overall responsibility for the appearance of Open Days.
- Proactively promote the spaces within the College for private hire including the studios, grounds, and farmhouse, handling enquiries and converting to sales.
- Work with the Enterprise team to schedule events and activities, process Open Day bookings and community group bookings, and to manage the diary for the Enterprise events at Millie College.
- Be the point of contact for community groups using the College or grounds.
- Work with external agencies in conjunction with the Enterprise Leads (e.g. RSPB) to devise mutually beneficial volunteering tasks for student and Flourish participants and help to facilitate these as necessary.
- Develop the Enterprise Team’s reach online and in person including producing resources.
- Use appropriate communications channels including social media to promote the College and advertise events and opportunities to a wide audience.
- Put in place communications channels with internal and external stakeholders - enabling regular briefings on project developments, opportunities and discoveries

- Experience in customer service and/or visitor services
- Experience of working in an educational setting or a visitor attraction in a similar role
- Experience of working with communities and building relationships with local groups and organisations
- Experience of marketing activities and events working to the organisation guidelines and best practice
- Experience of planning and delivering informal activities and events for a range of audiences
- Experience of developing and delivering schools workshops, and associated resources
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and time management skills
