The Curriculum Developer is employed to ensure effective development of learning programmes via the development of innovative curriculum strategies and engaging learning programmes across the relevant sector including primarily construction and online training. Responsible for the design and development of learning programmes both for the employed and unemployed offered through Skills People Group.

Skills People Group are a national provider of NVQ’s, PET Programmes for the unemployed through funded training contracts and commercial offers that expands our portfolio. SPG are proud to be nationally recognised as one of the UK’s largest private training providers.
- Support the creation of content and associate resources to enhance Construction NVQ L3 content.
- To create inspiring provision aligned to Retrofit, and the green skills agenda.
- Support the implementation of OneFile for all programmes including content with accessibility to support operations.
- Develop systems and process to ensure contextualisation of products are achieved in a quality and timely manner.
- Work closely with the Curriculum Manager to develop programme offers and prioritise plans to create new programmes and develop existing resources including online delivery methods that align with new technologies and approaches in education.
- Work with the Curriculum Manager, delivery, sales, and funding team to ensure our offers meet the learning outcomes of regulated qualifications and funding eligibilities.
- To work with the respective Awarding Organisations to develop or recommend relevant qualifications and unit selections.
- Champion the development of new and existing programmes including e-learning and related material(s), in line with Skills people Group strategy and processes.
- Identify opportunities where new programmes could support progression and identify where this can enhance the learner experience.
- To demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promote the safety and welfare of all.
- To attend conferences, webinars, and workshops to ensure that they are at the forefront of new learning developments.
- To drive forward a companywide strategy on continuous improvement for learning with relentless focus on outstanding experiences for our learners and staff
- Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external organisations.
- Creative ability to develop a market leading interactive learning programme.
- Ability to write content for traditional and e-learning resources and platforms.
- Experience in the development of delivery models and learning resources
- Excellent ICT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages and experience of using learner management systems.
- Experience using e-portfolio platform preferably OneFile.
- Excellent curriculum analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Online education platforms such as Google Classroom, Skill Share, Udemy etc.
- Subject matter knowledge in your curriculum specialty including Retrofit (L2-L5) and Street work operatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time, people, and resource management/organisational skills to follow processes.
- Demonstrable ability to work from own initiative and as part of a wider team.
- Enthusiasm in the workplace.
- Good research and observational skills.
- An interest and desire to create and develop in education.
- Certificate in Education
- A Minimum of ‘Level 2’ in Maths and English
