We have an exciting opportunity in our Global Payroll team for a **Global Payroll Specialist** to join our team on a 1 year fixed-term contract basis. This role offers remote working or in our Glasgow office, ACCA fully supports blended/hybrid working.

**The job**

Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, you'll support the UK and International payroll operation for over 1,300 colleagues across forty-three countries and
- Manage an allocation of monthly/bi-monthly global payrolls, validating that calculations are accurate and comply with global/country policies and local regulations.
- Prepare and collates monthly/bi-monthly payroll-related data changes from Workday and other sources and load them into our third-party payroll provider system for processing.
- Ensure all remittances and filings with the appropriate tax authorities and payments are completed by third-party payroll providers or ACCA local teams.
- Work in partnership with People and Finance teams, and provide guidance and support on payroll-related queries.
- Support with the preparation and collation of internal and external audit requests and ensure deadlines are met; liaise with third-party payroll provider as required.
- Support Payroll Manager to implement payroll-related policy changes, and ensure changes are communicated to third-party payroll provider.
- Creates and maintains payroll-related documentation including processes and procedures, checklists, and country playbooks.

**The person**

We are looking for someone who:

- Has experience with international and UK payroll processing and regulations
- Is proficient in Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel with strong experience in reconciliation methodology and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with good presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to organise, prioritise, plan, and manage work to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation both internally and externally.
