**Requirements**:
Do you know sports culture inside and out? Is writing your passion? Can you write social-first copy that amuses, entertains, educates, provokes, and inspires? Across multiple different sports brands? All on the same day? Well, we are looking for a sports writer.

Your role requires watching and writing about sports on social for global sports brands, community managing key accounts, and producing creative copy that taps into sports culture. You will ideally be clued up on sports fashion, running culture, football culture, and more. Your role will require you to undertake research tasks that drill down to the heart of what a brand’s community wants to engage with on social.

You need to know what content works across different social platforms and be able to adapt to writing for different brands. You must understand what TOV works for different brands and be able to pivot to talking to different communities on the same day. You need to understand the importance of frontline community management and interacting directly with a brand’s audience.

Ultimately, you will be required to deliver consistently high-calibre copy, community, and content management, across multiple accounts that connect brands to the heart of the action. In the current climate, editorial narratives, long-term content planning, and authentic storytelling are more important than ever.

**Main responsibilities**
Craft consistently brilliant social copy for distribution across social media channels.
Handle the day-to-day community management for major brands and engage with the community across multiple sports and sports fashion brands
Handle channel and content management for major sports brands
Maintain editorial planning calendars and publishing toolkits for multiple clients
Be a guardian of your client's tone of voice - ensuring the quality of copy and content remains high across all accounts you are responsible for
Qualitative research across multiple sports brands
Finding story hooks and insights for athletes, ambassadors, sports brands
Contribution to daily Newsrooms within the department

**What are we looking for?**
Ideally one year of publishing or journalist experience (within sports is preferable)
High level of proactivity; someone who is creative, outgoing, and passionate about multiple sports and writing as a profession
Demonstrable experience in writing social copy for a variety of brands or accounts
Someone with their finger on the pulse of sports culture across multiple communities
Someone with the ability to interpret brand TOV and the different audiences sports
