**The Opportunity**:

Research Grants Team work closely with the University of Edinburgh research and professional service communities, partners and funders, to maximise the research academic colleagues can undertake for the funding they receive.

We are looking for a **Research Grants Support Administrator **to join our expert team in supporting the delivery of financial management and post award administration across the EU and International teams.

You will work collaboratively across the Research Grants team and with colleagues across a range of departments to provide crucial administrative support. This includes the setup of new awards, assisting with funder audits, using the People and Money system for processing transactions and managing the team mailboxes for queries and support

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- A finance background is highly desirable, with an understanding of financial reconciliation and audit requirements, foreign currency implications.
- Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload, work under pressure to tight deadlines, and cope with conflicting demands.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- High level of numeracy with good attention to detail Good IT skills including word processing, and spreadsheets.

**Edinburgh Research Office**

**The Research Grants Team **is responsible for the recovery of c£324m research income across 3,500 research awards. You will be a key support to the wider team of 40 and we work closely with colleagues across all academic departments in the University assisting in the management of research awards.
