**Business Development Manager**

The purpose of the Role:
You will play a pivotal role in the UK sales team. You will be responsible for bringing in new business opportunities and generating sales leads to convert them and expand their current market portfolio.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will focus on their markets throughout the UK, with the mid-term perspective to expand to other country markets. Your primary responsibilities will be:

- Researching target industries and markets to identify growth opportunities
- Targeting new customers through a combination of prospecting, networking, cold calling and opening conversations with key decision-makers from a variety of industries
- Understanding regional market requirements (commercially and technically)
- Researching essential company information relevant to the initiation of business
- Pro-actively managing your pipeline and generating qualified inbound leads
- Maintaining and creating leads and opportunities in the CRM system
- Having regular face-to-face meetings (virtually and in-person) with frequent travel
- Representing the company at events such as trade shows and congresses
- Managing a portfolio of distributors and existing customers with full responsibility for retaining and growing these accounts
- Researching new potential distribution partners and nurturing strategic alliances to open new opportunities and gain more market share
- Being measured against KPIs and achieving your individual goals in terms of turnover
- Supporting the internal sales team in operational and administrative tasks
- Observing market trends and presenting them to the team in the form of business ideas

We are looking for a customer-focused, cooperative individual with a hunter mentality and business-to-business sales experience. Someone who shows self-motivation, can work independently, and take on responsibility. Applicants from any industry will be considered,although prior experience in acoustics and/or sound measurement will be a strong plus.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a sales role, preferably in business development/lead generation
- Technical understanding and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proven track record of being able to work remotely
- Can do and will do attitude and a drive to achieve
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 75%)
