**Job overview**:
The postholder will help provide a comprehensive administrative service to support the delivery of the Postgraduate Medical Education across the Northern Care Alliance as directed by the SCO PGME Head of Service. They will work closely with the PGME administrative and management teams to provide effective quality management and governance processes. This involves data collection analysis and management. The role also includes PA duties for the management team, support for the SCO PGME risk and financial management systems and assisting with the administration and coordination of Medical Learners.
This is an interesting and dynamic service therefore the post holder is expected to be flexible and enthusiastic in order to support the evolving nature of education and training.
**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the PGME Managerial, Clinical team along with other key stakeholders, to ensure that the local provision of education and training for all doctors in training meets the required standards required by the GMC and Health Education England.
- Support the delivery, organisation and quality assurance of training programmes across the Northern Care Alliance Postgraduate Medical Education Service.
- Perform as part of a well-integrated Postgraduate Medical Education team; Providing cross-cover and support for unplanned activity as directed by the Postgraduate Medical Education Deputy Head of Service.
- Support the administrative processes associated with the quality management and governance framework
- Support the PGME data management systems.
- Support the local department financial processes including keeping accurate records and filing.
- Provide administrative support for the SCO PGME Risk Management systems as directed by senior administrator.
- Support and administer systems used to monitor the education and training environment.
- Assist with the administration and coordination of Induction and mandatory training requirements for Doctors in Training.
- Administer the PGME meetings programme.
