Nursery Room Leader

**Job Purpose**:
The role of the Room Leader is to work as part of the senior leadership team to provide professional leadership and management to the early year’s practitioners within your base room and to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience as a Room Leader in a childcare setting.
- Full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 or above.
- Be able to lead a room of staff efficiently and have excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding and the ability to take the lead in vulnerable situations when required.
- Supervise and support staff members.
- To be a confident leader, articulating your ideas and using planning and preparation to ensure their success.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Monitor Staff well-being and address any concerns or issues promptly
- To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others.
- Have a passion for making a difference.
- Have an understanding of the Curiosity Approach and implementing this.
- A child centred approach to teaching using creative and exciting methods to engage and stimulate.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Level 3 in Childcare.

**Training Required**:
Safeguarding Training

Paediatric First Aid Training
- Desirable although training will be given
**Work Experience Required**:
Experience is essential with children aged 2-4 years.
All applicants must have been working with children for a minimum of two years (this can not include work placements whilst training at college).
**Hours Required**:
The role is for 40 hours a week all year round with variable shifts depending on the needs of the nursery, for example 7.30-4.30, 8.00-5.00, 9.00-6.00 etc.
Pay: £27,112.00-£29,198.00 per year
