We are looking for a Relief Security Officer **t**o join us at our client site in the City of London. This is a corporate site and is home to international companies including Law firms.

As a Relief Security Officer at the site, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest levels of security are maintained at the building or post assigned to you. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, prompt incident response, and upholding security standards in your area of influence

**A typical day in the life as a Relief Security Officer**:

- Site Security: Ensuring the safety and security of the premises at Norton Folgate. This includes monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activities.
- Incident Response: Responding promptly and appropriately to any emergencies, incidents, or alarms that occur on the site. This could involve handling medical emergencies, evacuating the premises if necessary, or coordinating with emergency services.
- Access Control: Implementing and enforcing access control measures to restrict entry to authorized personnel only. This may involve verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, operating security systems, and monitoring security cameras to detect and prevent any unauthorized access.
- Security Monitoring: Constantly monitoring surveillance systems, such as CCTV cameras or alarm systems, to identify and respond to potential security threats or breaches. This includes observing and reporting any suspicious activities, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and escalating incidents as appropriate.
- Regular Reporting: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and shift logs. This could involve documenting patrol routes, completing incident reports, recording any breaches of security protocols, or providing statements as required by the company or authorities.
- Customer Service: Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills to interact with employees, visitors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner. This includes assisting with directions, providing information about services or facilities, and addressing any security-related inquiries or concerns.
- Perform regular security checks of the premises, including the inspection of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and other safety equipment.
- Write detailed reports on incidents, observations, and any security-related activities.

- Report Writing: A crucial aspect of a security officer's role is documenting incidents and creating written reports. Therefore, they should be proficient in report writing to provide accurate and detailed accounts of events.
- Conflict Resolution: Security officers would benefit from training in conflict resolution techniques, as they may encounter challenging situations and will need the ability to defuse conflicts peacefully.
