Switchboard Operator

Responsibilities include:

- Operate the switchboard to route incoming calls to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Use a bespoke system to answer incoming calls and provide information or direct callers to the appropriate person
- Take and relay messages accurately and in a timely manner
- Speak in clear, polite and friendly manner - Conduct yourself with professionalism, personality, proficiency and politeness at all times

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a switchboard operator or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with telephone systems and office equipment
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

**Role is to start from the 29th of April 2024.**

**Hours will be split 8 hours on both Saturday and Sunday with the remaining 4 hours agreed during the week (ideally Monday/Thursday afternoon).**

**The job requires a 2-week induction Mon-Fri (9am to 5pm) and then followed by a development period of about 6 weeks where you will be office based (Mon-Fri) and working with our trainers to make sure you fully understand the system before moving to the weekend rota.**

**Salary**: From £11,450.00 per year
